Christina Aguilera

Christina Maria Aguilera (/aegI'le@r@/; Spanish: [agi'lera] born on December 18th, 1980) is an American artist, singer as well as an actress and TV personality. She is known for her high-pitched voice as well as her four-octave range. Aguilera was a star with her debut album. The singer is often credited for helping revive teenage pop in the latter part of the 1990s. Her works, which incorporate feminism, sexuality, and domestic violence, have been praised by critics and controversy. She is often cited as an influencer by other artists. After appearing on TV shows, Aguilera signed with RCA Records in 1998. The debut album produced three Billboard Hot 100 number-one singles -- "Genie in A Bottle", "What a Girl Wants" and "Come On Over Baby (All I Want Is You)" -which earned her the Grammy Award for Best New Artist. The first Spanish album, Mi Reflejo (2000), was released as a pop bubblegum record. It topped the Billboard Top Latin Albums charts for nineteen weeks.
