Rod Stewart

 Sir Roderick David Stewart CBE (born 10 January 1945) is a British pop and rock singer and songwriter. Born in London, he is of Scottish and English heritage. With his distinctive raspy singing voice, Stewart is among the greatest-selling performers ever with more than 250 million records worldwide. Ten number-one albums, 31 top ten singles and six number one UK singles have been his accomplishments. Stewart has had 16 top ten singles in the US and four of them reached the top spot on the Billboard Hot 100. He was knighted in the 2016 Birthday Honours for services to music and charity.Stewart's musical career started in 1962 when he took up busking with harmonica. In 1963 the band he was in was a member of The Dimensions as a harmonica singer and player. Stewart joined Long John Baldry in 1964 as well as the All Stars in 1965. Then he joined the Jeff Beck Group, 1967. He joined Faces in 1969 and put out his debut album. The first two albums of Stewart were a mix of R&B, folk, soul and folk. The third album 1971's Every Picture Tells a Story, was his breakthrough, and topped the charts in the UK, US, Canada and Australia and also the ballad "Maggie May.
