Sigourney Weaver

 American actress Susan Alexandra "Sigourney", born October 8th, 1949, is"sI'go?rni," which is a contraction of the word . She is an iconic figure in science fiction, popular culture, and has received numerous accolades including two Golden Globe Awards, a British Academy Film Award, a Grammy Award and two Golden Globe Awards. In addition to being nominated for three Academy Awards and four Primetime Emmy Awards in addition to as being nominated for the Tony Award, four Primetime Emmy Awards and four Primetime Emmy Awards, Weaver was also nominated for an Tony Award and five Academy Awards. She was voted Number 20 in Channel 4's countdown of 100 Greatest Movie Stars of All Time as the only female among the top 20.Weaver rose to fame after she was cast as Ellen Ripley in the Ridley Scott directed science fiction film Alien (1979) that was nominated for the BAFTA Award for Most Promising Newcomer. She reprised the role with an acclaimed performance in James Cameron's Aliens (1986) in which she was awarded her first Academy Award nomination. She reprised the role in two sequels: Alien 3 (1992) and Alien Resurrection (1997). She is considered to be a significant female protagonist in cinema history.
