Adriana Lima, Portuguese pronunciation"[adri'ana'lima]" was born 12 June 1981. She is a Brazilian model. From 1999 to 2018 she was the longest-running Victoria's Secret Angel and was named "the most important Victoria's Secret Angel in 2017". The commercials she has done for Kia Motors as well as the Super Bowl are also well-known. Lima was just 15 when she was crowned Ford's Supermodel of Brazil competition. She then took second in the Ford Supermodel of the World competition. After signing with Elite Model Management, New York City, Lima is currently listed on models.com as one of the "New Supers". Lima is the second highest-paid model in the world since 2014. In 2012, she landed 4th on the Forbes highest-earning models list. being estimated to earn $7.3 million in a single year. She came in 3rd place in 2013 and 2nd in 2014. The earnings totalled $8 million. In 2015, she was 2nd with earnings of $9million. In 2016, she was in the second spot with earnings of US$10.5million. Lima has served as brand ambassador for the clothing company Desigual located in Barcelona, Spain, for the Beachwear collection of Italian brand Calzedonia, and for the ready-to-wear collection of Italian brand Sportmax. She is currently an ambassador for IWC, Puma, Maybelline and Chopard.
